Origin of 87Sr enrichment in calcite cements in Jurassic limestones (Eastern Paris Basin, France)

In this contribution, the origin of fluids having cemented Jurassic limestones in eastern part Paris Basin is discussed through isotopic composition (δ18O, δ13C, 87Sr/86Sr) authigenic calcite crystals filling vugs and fractures. The Upper Middle limestones, overlying underlying Callovian-Oxfordian claystones, experienced dissolution crystallization leading to a succession cements depleted 18O enriched 87Sr compared bulk host limestone isotope composition. These shifts originate from flow allochthonous basinal fracture network that developed during main tectonic deformation events. Mixing between autochthonous local porewaters attested by variable 87Sr/86Sr diagenetic calcite. 87Sr-enriched precipitated strongly impact ratio present-day groundwaters may have modified porewater
